Made from 25% chicken breast and 75% dark meat, our organic ground chicken is perfect for meatloaf, burgers, meat sauces and chili. Our 100% Air Chilled method ensures it contains no added broth, no water and NO chlorine.
Are there any traces of rosemary, rosemary extract, or other flavorings or spices in your organic ground chicken? Due to allergies, it’s important that I know this. Thank you.
Hi Dana, our Ground Organic Chicken does not contain spices or extracts. The only ingredient is Chicken.
Hi B&E
Thanks for not adding spices or anything in ur ground chicken.
I have BIG problems with salicylates & spices are enormously high in them.
I follow a carnivore diet & can’t seem to tolerate any plant foods.
I’ve been eating your chicken for many many years and your the only ones I trust
I also luv the fact that you don’t use those lousy absorbent things in the bottom of the package.
I like the blood and juices that I use for braising liquid which contain potassium & other minerals that I need since I don’t eat plants.
Ur the best
Cathy
Bell & Evans ground chicken is awesome. So far I’ve used it for chicken tacos and it is perfect—not dry and maintains a great texture (similar to ground beef). It also does not have any odd flavors as ground turkey can.
Is the ground chicken gluten free? Allergy- celiacs.
Hi Karen. Yes, the ground chicken is just chicken. There are no other ingredients, so it is gluten free.
Confirming the organic ground chicken does not come into contact with any allergens in production? Specifically egg, peanut or sesame? My daughter is highly allergic – thank you!
Hi Maria! The line used to produce Ground Organic Chicken, does not run egg, peanut or sesame allergens. The Plant adheres to strict allergen programs to ensure no cross contact.
Why are there carbs in your organic ground chicken?
Hi Ryan, our ground chicken is just chicken, no other ingredients. There may be naturally occurring carbs in the chicken.
Why does your chicken have carbs in it? There aren’t supposed to be any naturally occurring carbohydrates in meat… Animal meat is supposed to be the only 0 carb food. Where are the carbs coming from? 8 grams per package is a lot.
Hi Katie! You are correct. There are no naturally occurring carbohydrates in meat, and we do not add anything to our Ground Chicken. Initial lab results that generated the nutrition fact panel when we first launched Ground Chicken showed a small amount of carbohydrates per serving. We regularly perform label reviews are in the process of revising the nutrition facts panel to accurately show 0g carbohydrates for this item. Thank you for being a loyal Bell & Evans consumer.
Love your chicken! Just curious if the per serving nutrition information is 112 grams of RAW measure?
Hi Nancy, yes, all of Bell & Evans’ nutritionals are based on raw products.
I just purchased your 80% lean 20% fat ground chicken. Is the nutritional information above the same for your 80/20 ground chicken? I cant seem to find the nutritional info for it. Thank you.
Hi Christina, we sell three non seasoned items; RWA Breast, RWA Legs and ORGANIC Ground chicken. We do not sell an 80/20 ground chicken item. If you are referring to the “Ground Organic Chicken”, you can find the nutrition information right on this page under the heading “Nutrition Facts”.
I wish this was sold on Cape Cod other than at Whole Foods.
I have used other organic ground chix from Whole Foods and Stop and Shop, but this one is by far the most flavorful and moist when using in the many recipes I have for ground chicken. Wish I could buy it in bulk for my freezer.
This chicken is great. However, I’ve had to throw out several packaged because of the nearly illegible date stamping on the package. I have decent eye sight and the dates are so hard to read, often because the imprint stamp falls outside of the black box it should be on top of. Very frustrating.
Hi is ur ground chicken n chicken breast 100% free of gluten and any possible cross contamination from gluten. I’m sensitive to trace amounts of gluten and it can cause extreme reaction which could be a big danger to my health. You guys do not have gluten free label on the chicken so I was wondering why is that the case and if there is any change of contamination during any phases of processing or packing?
As a rule, all of our fresh, raw, unseasoned poultry is naturally allergen free. Our packaging and further processing facility (P-1304-a) may use any of the FDA’s recognized nine (9) major food allergens in controlled areas of the plant. However, those areas have strict storage separation and handling processes. All equipment is cleaned, sanitized and tested to ensure no allergen cross-contamination.
